The text in this production comes from working Americans interviewed in the 1970s and 1990s by Studs Terkel, a well-known Chicagoan, writer, and radio broadcaster. Adapted by Stephen Schwartz (GODSPELL, PIPPIN, WICKED) and Nina Faso. The show morphs from poetic to simple to gritty with stories that are poignant, funny, hopeful, and sobering.
