STAGES OF EQUITY

Presented with North Hennepin Community College

Roles: Producer, Co-Curator, Web Design

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL:

NHCC’s inaugural Stages of Equity Festival will gather together and stream free of charge artistic and performance works by people of color artists. The three-day festival (April 30, May 1 and 2, 2021) will feature a spectrum of new works including: poetry readings, dance, music, visual art, film, and theater. Along with broadcasting these artists of color creative works, NHCC’s festival will also offer interviews and panels with its featured artists.

Based on the model of “Fringe Festivals” featured throughout the world, this inaugural and virtual Stages of Equity Festival seeks to foreground and raise up artist of color led, equity-centered projects developed by, from, and for the communities of Brooklyn Park, Brooklyn Center, and the greater Metro.
